I first started working on this project back in February of 2019. And after over a year of working on and off on this project, the end is almost in sight. Even after all the setbacks and delays waiting for parts and equipment, I am happy with the efforts and the end product.
But I am super stoked the test drive was a success. The transmission shifted smoothly, and the engine power has improved significantly.
I still have a little ways to go to before I am completely finished. I am still missing some of the trim pieces. And it still needs a lot more road time. I have only driven it less than 50 miles. So I still have a lot more driving to do to make sure there are no other issues with the engine and transmission.

As far as the issue with P1857 code. I am not 100% percent sure that replacing the Transmission Control Module was the actual fix. It could have been that using the wrong fluid was the cause or it could have been a combination of both. But I am not going to reinstall the old part to find out. I will just monitor it over the next few thousand miles to see if the code comes back.
I do know for certain that the charge pipe was the cause for the engine stalling and all of the other associated engine codes.
